flook

What's Next?

We think we've got some things right already. We hate maps and pins on small phones, and we think we've relegated them to their rightful position - on the back of cards. We love flook's smooth user interface - and we'd like to thank our user experience expert, Nick Healey and our artist, Pete Borlace, for their amazing contributions. Way to go, guys.

But, great though flook is today, it's barely a hint of what we have planned for it in our wild, cheese-fuelled dreams. Here's a little taste of what's coming...

  • First up, we're going to improve on your flook score. You'll be check your world ranking (and more!) on your phone, and find out which of your cards are the party animals (collected by millions) and which are the shy retiring types that no-one likes.
  • Then we'll let you browse remote places. Looking nearby is cool, but sometimes you need to plan for your trip to New York or London. Soon you'll be able to choose a different town or city and flook it, adding cards to your collection to remind you to check them out when you're on your trip.
  • APIs. APIs are cool. If you have cool location-based content you'd like to share with our flookers, that's good! Or perhaps you'd like to port flook to your Acorn Atom? And if you want to make a game around cards, why not? When our third-party APIs are made public, the sky will be quite figuratively the limit.

Don't forget, if you have a better idea for what Ambient Industries should do next, we want to hear all about it in our forums!

Happy flooking,
